Napper

Napping Pavilion: A small modular, demountable wooden pavilion designed to host, for sleeping & relaxing outside. Concept design in 2016 was a collaboration with a Chinese academic colleague Lee Lei (BJTU-SAAD); a competition for a winery, in China. L1 designed a feasible and deployable construction method, described this, simply engineered and specified it.

In 2017 L1 created another pavilion, a rhythmic gantry overlooking Regents Canal in North London. The modules are used to provide a  singular view & celebrate a location with a special tempo of it’s own!
